If you’re an avid user of Microsoft Outlook, then you’ve been frustrated by the built-in search functionality. Outlook 2007 definitely improved upon previous iterations of the software, thanks to built-in indexing and optimization. Regardless, searching through a large amount of e-mail can still take as long as thirty seconds. A measly thirty seconds, you might say? Hey, that adds up, especially when there is a workaround!
Older versions of Outlook used a plug-in called Lookout, a small company bought by Microsoft in 2004. With the new focus on search in the 2007 version, Lookout support was dropped but thanks to former Microsoftie and Lookout creator, Mike Belshe, it can be used on Outlook 2007. Give it a whirl and let us know what you think below!
